Start

WEGlogoIt’s the most exciting time, but it can also be frustrating and intimidating.  There are so many things to do such as establishing your business entity, writing a business plan, developing your product or service, etc.

So, where do you start?  There’s no hard and fast rule, but we always recommend you begin with what we refer to as a “gut-check financial analysis.”  While this might sound obvious, you might be surprised at the number of people who expend a lot of effort starting their business without actually knowing if it has a chance of succeeding.

It doesn’t make sense to establish an LLC or a Corporation, write a business plan, rent office space, purchase inventory, or hire staff, if in the end, your product costs more than the price you can charge.

The “gut check” is the foundation of your pro-forma analysis, which is a key component of your business plan.  If your financial analysis works, then it’s time to get serious about developing your business plan.
